Drizzy unleashed this previously unheard verse from a song apparently entitled “The Resistance” at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse, NY last night.
It’s basically just bragging but it’s still pretty dope.
The Ed Sullivan Theater got even cooler Thursday night when these guys came through and performed Forced to Love. It’s an incredible song off their upcoming album Forgiveness Rock Record which is out May 4th.
Shouts to VP Records for this great footage of Gyptian making NYC feel more like Jamaica!
She looked better than ever singing this medley of Unthinkable and Empire State of Mind. This special episode of American Idol also raised over $15 million for various charities!
FELA! The legendary African artist Fela Kuti has a Broadway show now! Jay-Z made a point of supporting it and Lord knows that man has good taste (ie. Beyonce) so it probably does justice to what Fela Kuti brought to the world. After watching this commercial for it- I’m definitely going to see this next time I’m in NY.

For years I’ve heard about this festival that sounded like Mecca for music lovers. Heading out to the desert town of Indio, CA is like a pilgrimage and once you get there it is like a religious experience. I’m happy to say that for the first time I got to enjoy Coachella and it was even better than I expected. The line up of artists who performed was incredible and the 80,000 person crowd seemed to consist of only the most passionate and care free people.

It was absolutely amazing. The vibration that carried through most of the weekend was like a dream sequence that you don’t want to wake up from. A lot of people came away from the weekend talking about how Beyonce joined Jay-Z on stage to sing Forever Young (footage included below) but my highlight was the performance Thom Yorke gave on Sunday night. Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers played the bass for Thom’s set and seeing those two collaborate live was one of the best moments in musicianship I’ve ever seen.
His lyrical intensity is off the charts.
John West performing in Santa Monica at the 3rd street promenade got this woman all sorts of riled up! This should be featured on America’s Funniest Home Videos.
Justin Vernon decided to cover Tom Petty’s Crawling Back To You during Music NOW 2010 in Cincinnati and the liberties he took with the arrangement definitely give it a unique quality. Sounds amazing. If you want to compare it to Tom’s original version click HERE.

The song Lisztomania never sounded cuter. These kids really get into it.
