I’ve spent plenty of time on stage talking about pop culture but I’ve never been as raw about my own life as I was here. Being a featured speaker at the inaugural Life Is Beautiful Festival in Las Vegas seemed like the perfect place to let it all hang out. I shared about how unpacking my baggage and listening to my heart more than my head led me to love. Then after I got off stage, a young guy from the crowd came up to me and told me it inspired him to reach out to a girl he had been holding back from. Needless to say, I plan on doing this more often.
It’s been 13 years since I started in this business. Vox, MTV, Dance On Sunset, MySpace, Access Hollywood, Duets, The Q Side. It’s been quite a ride.
I’ll never forget my first day hosting TRL, it was like an out of body experience. Thankfully since then I’ve settled into it but what’s never changed is how much I appreciate these moments. There’s still a lot more to do but this highlight reel is definitely a nice reminder of how far I’ve come.

I’ve never had more fun doing a show. Maybe it’s the fact that it’s mine and it affords me the opportunity to do whatever I want or maybe it’s just about where I’m at in my life. However I break it down, doing the first season of this show was so much fun. While we get ready for its TV debut later this year, here’s a highlight reel of the good times we’ve had so far on The Q Side.
Quddus interviews Katy Perry at the premiere of her movie Part Of Me 3D.
After the fun we had doing the premiere for Justin Bieber Never Say Never earlier this year, Paramount asked me to host the red carpet premiere in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil for Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol. Life really doesn’t suck sometimes. Former MTV Brazil VJ and current TV actress Carla Lamarca was chosen to co-host along with me and we did something kind of unique for a red carpet premiere by having Tiesto spin throughout our broadcast. The stars of the film Paula Patton and Tom Cruise definitely enjoyed. Have a look and see for yourself.
Besides all the red carpet fun, Quddus also got to talk with all the winners, fresh off the stage, to talk about their speeches and what actually went into their success.
Quddus talks with Tito Ortiz about how he got beat, Frankie Muniz about why he prefers racing to acting and Stephen Moyer about how flipping his car might lead to his wife Anna Paquin smacking him around.
Highlights of the purple carpet premiere of Never Say Never.
