Lupe Fiasco actually freestyles on Funkmaster Flex
The term “freestyling” has been used very loosely for a while and not a lot of MC’s actually come up with rhymes on the spot anymore. Thankfully, Lupe Fiasco is not one of those MC’s and he proved it when he appeared on Flex’s radio show to promote his upcoming album Food & Liquor 2. I’m still a bit salty about Lupe referring to Barack as a terrorist but his talent is a pretty undeniable spectacle in this clip.
He does alot of that on his last album (talking down about Obama) as well which is kinda a turn off, but he is allowed to have his opinion. He is really, really talented. I went to his concert when he came through Atlanta earlier this year, and it was the best hip hop concert I’ve been to, so full of energy.
